Ministerial Staff

Tommy Valentine, Pastor tommy@lexingtonavenue.org Tommy Valentine joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in October 1999. Previously, he served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Mill Creek Baptist Church in Bardstown, Kentucky. Tommy is a graduate of the University of Louisville (BS, 1987) and Southern Baptist Theological seminary (MDiv, 1991; Ph.D., 1994). Tommy enjoys reading and playing golf. Tommy's wife, Jennifer, is an elementary school teacher. They have two children, David and Kate.

Keith Stillwell, Associate Pastor for Discipleship keith@lexingtonavenue.org Keith Stillwell joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in November of 2000. Previously he served as minister of education at First Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church both of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Keith is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (BS, 1984), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div., 1988) and The Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (D. Min., 2000). Keith enjoys gardening, volleyball, and following Eastern Kentucky University sports. Keith is married to Dianne Cummins Stillwell, an elementary school teacher. Keith and Dianne have two daughters, Brittany (married to Kyle Krebs) and Kelsey.

Phil Quinn, Minister of Music philq@lexingtonavenue.org Phil Quinn joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist in May of 2004. Previously he served 20 years at Erlanger Baptist Church in Northern Kentucky, and 5 years at Dry Ridge Baptist Church. Phil is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University (BME, 1977) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MCM, 1980; DMA, 1987). Phil is married to Melodee, an interior decorator. Phil and Melodee have two young children, Blake and Summer. Phil's hobbies are traveling and racquetball.

Dave Garrett, Minister of Youth garrett@lexingtonavenue.org Dave Garrett joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in May of 2000. This is Dave's second term of ministry at LABC as he previously served as Minister to Youth and Young Adults (1989 to 1994). Dave is married to Stacy, an accountant. Dave has also served as Recreation Director at the Woodlawn Children's Campus and Minister to Youth and Education at First Baptist Church in his hometown of Pennington Gap, Virginia. Dave is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies. While at the University of Kentucky, Dave was a walk-on football player and was actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dave also serves as the Baptist Campus Minister at Centre College leading the Baptist Student Union. Dave has coached football and track at Centre College, Lexington Christian Academy, Boyle County High School and Boyle County Middle School.

Support Staff

Gail Singleton, Office Manager gail@lexingtonavenue.org Gail Singleton joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in October of 1989. She has two children, Jeffrey and Gretchen and four grandchildren. She enjoys site seeing, reading, walking, event planning, and home improvement.

Cari Rice, Financial Secretary cari@lexingtonavenue.org Cari Rice joined the staff at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in January of 2003. Previously she was Senior Accountant at Hitachi Automotive Products in Harrodsburg. Cari is a graduate of Georgetown College (BS, 1989). She enjoys playing the flute and is a member of the handbell choir. She is married to Drew, a building contractor. They have two daughters, Megan and Ashley.

Angela Sell, Administrative Assistant info@lexingtonavenue.org angela@lexingtonavenue.org Angela Sell joined the staff at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in January of 2006. She has two children, Kaila and Sarah. She enjoys technology and design, planning and organizing children's events, and scrap booking.

Custodial Service

Linda Lonigro, B&L Cleaning Though not an employee of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Linda is a familiar face around our church. We contract with B & L Cleaning for our custodial services. Linda is the "L" in B & L Cleaning.

Musicians

Lois Baltzer, Organist Lois Baltzer joined the staff of Lexington Avenue Baptist in June of 1996 after serving 22 years as organist and music director of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington, KY. Lois received a BA degree from CCU and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She currently teaches 38 piano students each week. She and her minister husband, Lee, served 17 years in Livonia, Michigan at Kenwood Church of Christ where she directed three choirs and also organized and directed a children's worship program for fifteen years. Lee is a minister in Nicholasville and works in benefits at UK. They have two children, Jeff, an accountant in Lexington and Amy Thiaville, a violin professor at Loyola in New Orleans. They have three grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter and Shelby.
