From Our Interim Pastor - Dr. Terry Freeman - September 2018

This is the last article I will share with you as my interim responsibilities are coming to an end.  September 9 will be my last Sunday and your new pastor will begin the next day.  I have been blessed with the opportunity to share with you week to week.  In the process I have met many new friends and, hopefully, the friendships will continue into the future.  Thank you for your kind words and expressions during my stay.  Truly, Lexington Avenue Baptist Church has a bunch of nice folk and you have so much to offer.

A special thank you needs to be given to the staff with whom I have been privileged to work.  They have assisted me in every way possible and I could not have asked for anything more.  The congregation is blessed to have such talented people serving both as ministers and in administrative capacities.  And I would be amiss if I did not thank the church leadership for their support.  The deacons and committee members have all assisted me and have been very patient with my requests.

My prayers will be with you and your new pastor in the days ahead.  Keep up the good work.

P.S.  I never found out who blessed me with a box of tomatoes early in the summer.  They were delicious.  Thank you.
