To all my friends at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

Ordinarily I do not like to send letters such as this unless they are handwritten but I still have enough weakness in my arms and hands from the heart transplant surgery that my writing is difficult to read
I want to THANK YOU ALL for the prayers, calls and visits over the last few years that I have been awaiting a HEART TRANSPLANT
.
I can now say I’ve had three births, the first by my parents.

The second when I accepted Jesus Christ and really changed my life and now a......

New heart which is a gift from God Almighty and a benevolent stranger who gave me another chance to live a better life being more aware of what is really important, GOD, Family, Friends and using any opportunity given to help others.

I have been given the gift of living a better life being aware of ways I can be a better Christian, a better man, a better husband, a better father, grandfather and a better friend.

I pray I never forget this gift and live every moment in a way to honor GOD. It is a special gift to have a third chance.

God Bless you and thank you all

There are not words to thank LABC for the love and support shown to our family. Thank you to the staff for the assistance with arrangements for visitation and the celebration of Steve’s life. The abundance of food, the caring for the KBC Chorale, the hugs given to our grandchildren, the stories, the hugs to us, all the little things --thank you.

Words cannot express my heart felt thanks for the sympathy, love, and support you extended in the loss of my sister, Laura Ruth Durham. Thanks for being there for me.

Thank you for making my 90th birthday so special with lots of cards, flowers, calls, and hugs. You have certainly followed Jesus’ command in John 13:34-35. You are his disciples.

Thanks for your love,
Pauline Wall

Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

We deeply appreciate your kind expression of sympathy. Your support helped us through the dark days. Thank you for the beautiful flowers, the donations, the food, the visits, and the  prayers. A big thank you to the “kitchen ladies” for preparing such a fantastic meal. Thank you for all the cards that you have sent Mom throughout the years. She was so proud of the cards she received and proudly displayed them. Thank you summer for not just singing at Mom’s  funeral, but for gently holding her hand and singing to her while she was laying in her hospital bed. I have no doubt that she heard your beautiful voice. A special thank you to Keith and Phil for officiating at her funeral. It was most definitely a celebration of her life. She would have been proud. We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we continue to miss her dearly. She will be loved forever.

Dear Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

Thank you for your gift of $71.00 in support of the mission of Georgetown College. Our mission is to prepare students to engage in their life’s pursuits with thoughtfulness and skill by providing an exceptional educational experience in a vibrant Christian community.

Preparing students for their life’s pursuits is a partnership. Private liberal arts colleges depend on generous financial resources from alumni and friends. Your gift, together with others, ensures that deserving young women and men are afforded the opportunity to learn in a community of devoted faculty and students. Georgetown College is more than an educational institution. Georgetown College is a place where students become more than they dreamed possible.

Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for investing in the students and faculty. Thank you for being a partner in the Georgetown College mission.
Warm regards,

Todd W. Rasberry, Ph.D.
Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Dear Friends in Christ,

Thank you for your recent gift to Campbellsville University in the amount of $71.00 for the Scholarship Fund.

Campbellsville University is equipping thousands of students to become effective servant-leaders. Our mission is based on providing a superior education coupled with the life hanging influence of a distinctly Christian environment. This combination is resulting in students of character. Our emphasis of servant leadership is based on Christ’s call for us to put others first and to serve in His name. We are humbly grateful for our mission to see lives changed for the Gospel.

This year we have another strong enrollment with over 8,000 students, and CU also has been ranked in U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” for 25 consecutive years which is a milestone and honor for this 111 year-old institution. We are impacting thousands of lives each year for a better future both academically and spiritually with our 63 undergraduate options, 17 master’s degrees, five postgraduate areas and eight pre-professional programs. All of this success is a reflection of the love, prayers, and generosity of those who desire to see lives changed here at Campbellsville University.

We realize that without your financial support we would not have such wonderful news of strong enrollment and ranking. Thank you.

Most cordially,
Benji Kelly
Vice President for Development
