Sundays, Feb. 18 - March 25, 6-7:30 pm. Kids in kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to a special Sunday evening gathering each Sunday during Lent. We’ll meet in the Godly Play room to share stories and learn about prayer, Scripture reading, and other spiritual disciplines.

Lenten Coloring @ the Hub
Tuesday, February 20, 4-5:30 pm. Join Amanda at the Hub to work on the first psalm-themed Lenten poster for our sanctuary. All are welcome! More dates to come.

Children’s Help Needed
It takes a lot of people to make children’s ministry great, and we appreciate everyone who invests time and energy into teaching our children about God’s love. Here are some upcoming ways that you can jump in and help:
(1) Are you a great pancake chef? We need someone (or several someones) to cook up and serve a whole bunch of  pancakes for our young families on Tuesday, February 13. Dinner will be served at about 6:15 that evening. Let Amanda know if you can help!
(2) Can you help with a Sunday evening study for children during Lent? Let Amanda know if you could join us in the Godly Play room from 6-7:30 on a Sunday night between February 18 and March 25.

Resources for Lent
Looking for ways to connect as a family during Lent? Here are some great tools!
(1) Make Room by Laura Alary is a guide to help kids think about creating space for God during Lent. It focuses on stories about Jesus’ life and who Jesus is rather than retelling the passion narrative. (Available on Amazon).
(2) Praying In Color by Sybil MacBeth is a book full of ideas about how to pray through creating art. Some of the older kids have used this book in the past, and we’ll be utilizing it again during our Lenten Pause study. Some kids might enjoy having their own copies! Sybil’s website, prayingincolor.com, also has some free resources you can download.
