Epiphany Breakfast - Sunday, January 7 @ 9:30
Join us for Epiphany-themed storytelling, crafting, games, and eating! Our youth will cook and serve breakfast and we’ll end the feast with a special Epiphany cake.

Louisville Lock-In - Sunday, January 14
We’ll depart from LABC at 4 pm to head to Louisville for a lock-in with our friends (and Passport Camp buddies) from Buechel Park and Broadway Baptist Church. Bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and your sense of adventure! Parents, we’ll return fairly early Monday morning, but watch for a text with our ETA.

Passport Fundraiser Meal - Wednesday, January 17
The children’s ministry will be serving tacos to raise money for our trip to Passport Kids Camp this summer. Parents, watch your email for sign-ups. If you’re not a parent but would like to help with food, please let Amanda know!

Thank You
To our ADVENTure helpers: Clara Bowen, Rosalind Campbell, Brenda Hendrickson, Adam Standiford, Dianne Stillwell, Kathy White
To our Christmas music teachers: Maureen Elwyn, Steve Fegenbush

Epiphany is January 6.
We’ll celebrate the arrival of the magi at LABC on Sunday, January 7. Here are some ideas for celebrating Epiphany at home:
(1) Play the scene. Get your nativity scene out and invite your children to bring the characters in one by one, saving the magi for last.
(2) Go stargazing. The magi found the Christ child by following a wild star. Head outside and spend some time studying the stars together.
(3) Bless your home. The magi brought a blessing to Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Your child will bring home instructions for an Epiphany house blessing on January 7.

Children’s Help Needed
It takes a lot of people to make children’s ministry great, and we appreciate everyone who invests time and energy into teaching our children about God’s love. Here are some upcoming ways that you can jump in and help:
(1) We need a second chaperone for our upcoming lock-in. If you can join us for a trip to Louisville on January 14 (It’s MLK weekend), get in touch with Amanda!
(2) Can you help in the nursery on a Wednesday night? Let Amanda know or call the office if you’d like to volunteer.
