A Week of Wondering: Water! Water Everywhere!
Monday, June 12 - Thursday, June 15, 6-8 pm - Join us for a Godly-Play inspired VBS week as we learn together from the water-filled stories of Creation, the Great Flood, the Exodus, and Baptism. We’ll have fresh music and some innovative new response time options for everyone, plus a few never-before-seen-at-LABC-stories for our 2nd grade and up group!

Summer Sunday Night Hangouts
Young families are invited to join us on Sunday nights for a casual time of fellowship and fun. We’ll meet at a different location each time, so watch your email and texts for updates. Our first summer gathering will be at the Powells’ on Sunday, June 25

Summertime Stories
Wednesdays,10:30 am - noon, beginning in July.
Join us for an interactive “story hour.” We’ll weave Bible stories together with some of our favorite children’s books and have opportunities to participate in art, science, games, and other related activities.

The eggs are still on the move.
Did you know that there’s so much mystery in Easter that it doesn’t fit into just one Sunday? Easter goes on for six more weeks, and it helps us get ready to come near to the mystery of Pentecost. If you’re a family with children, watch your yard for the Easter eggs! When they appear, enjoy the treats, refill them, and pass them on to another LABC family as a way to celebrate Easter until (and maybe even after!) Pentecost.

Help Needed
It takes a lot of people to make children’s ministry great, and we appreciate everyone who invests time and energy into teaching our children about God’s love. Here are some upcoming ways that you can jump in and help:
1. VBS is ahead! (June 12-15, 6-8 pm each evening). We need you! Roles still open include an art or story-writing “expert,” a song/celebration leader, and several general helpers who will assist younger children and help out during storytimes. Let Amanda know how you’d like to help!
2. If you would like to host a Young Family Sunday Night hangout this summer, let Amanda know so we can start reserving dates.
3. Can you help teach children’s Sunday School this summer? We’ll be using an easy-to-follow, fun curriculum by the same publisher as last summer’s “An Illustrated Earth” study, and we need two teachers each week in June, July, and early August. Let Amanda know if you’d be willing to serve a week or two! Every bit helps!
4. We’re headed to camp in mid-July. If you’d like to write a note of encouragement to any of our campers or chaperones, talk to Amanda and she’ll give you names!

Thank You
Margaret Powell, who helped with our Pentecost sneak-in!
Rosalind Campbell, Brenda Hendrickson, Liz Peniston, and Carolyn Montgomery, who have served all year in our Godly Play classroom.
Our spring Wednesday night leaders: Dianne Stillwell, Carl Smith, Jason Shoults, Amanda Shoults, Julie Dexter, Peggy Butcher, Trina Elliott, and Alicia Nickens.
