Thank you for the tremendous blessing and affirmation you gave to Jennifer, David, Kate, and me June 11th.  I'm so grateful to begin this new journey in my ministry with your support, encouragement, and love.  The gifts you gave me were beautiful and I will use the pen and stationery often; the name plate with the Campbellsville University logo has found a place on my office desk and will later be placed in my office where I teach; and, the plaque commemorating rating nearly 18 years of ministry with the LABC family holds a prominent place in our family room.  Thank you!  The love offering allows me to more fully enjoy our time away at our favorite beach!

I wish I could personally thank each of you for the impact you had on me and my family; for the encouragement you gave; and, for the privilege of serving as your pastor—there is no greater blessing than that aspect itself.

The opportunity to work for so many years with such a gifted staff is a gift I cherish. Each of them are my co-ministers in the work of Christ who made me a better minister. I'm grateful for them all.

Please know of my prayers as you continue your faithful journey with Christ.

“. . . being confident of this, that God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Blessings,

Dear LABC family,

Thank you for your loving support during my father’s last few weeks and his passing. Your hugs, sympathy cards, text messages, emails and phone calls uplifted my family more than you know. Special hugs to those of you that were able to stop by my father’s visitation and funeral. You’re a special church family, thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

In Christian love,

To Lexington Avenue Baptist Church members,

Thank you all for the beautiful cards following the passing of my husband Chuck in January.

The son of longtime members Dr. Charles and Pearl Sisk, Chuck and his sister Alice grew up at LABC.

I was so touched to receive notes from many of you who remember Chuck and his participation in the choir. And I am also grateful for your kind words, support and love for Alice, Chuck’s aunt, Phyllis Thomas, and cousin, Lynette Gullett.

Chuck left us much too early and is missed terribly, but we would be honored if you would join us to celebrate Chuck’s life at an open house from 1:00-3:30 pm on Saturday, June 24, at the Danville Country Club.

I would cherish the chance to see and meet many of you and share memories of this exceptional man, husband, father and friend.

Dear Members of the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

I wanted to start off by saying how sorry I am that it has taken me this long to tell you thank you for everything you have done for my family and me. I have often had trouble seeing the good in people, but when I have been at one of my lowest, it seems as though I’ve seen the good more than I ever had before. I appreciate you thinking of me and helping me in any way. I am truly grateful to have met you all. I will never forget your kindness and will pay it forward. I hope to make your church family proud. Again thank you for everything.

Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

My wife and I just wanted to thank everyone for the get well cards and most importantly all the prayers that have been said for Nikki and I! They mean more to us than anything! She is doing great with her treatments and feeling better everyday! We still have a long road ahead of us, so please keep the prayers coming! God bless you all!

To: Lexington Avenue Baptist Church

Thank you for your kindness to us over the duration of Sandy’s illness and recovery. Regaining health is a slow process, but each day is a little better.

We’re grateful for all of those who have supported us since last August. That has come from so many places, both far and near. We are blessed persons.

We are especially grateful for the people of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church who have been so gracious, and have lifted our spirits. We look forward to when Sandy is able to join me in worship with you again.

Thank you again for your ministry to us.
