Breaking Bread Together – June 11th, 2017 (Dr. Valentine’s Last Sunday)

Believers are to show one another honor. To honor someone is to regard that person with great respect.  Paul reminded us that both our affection and honor stem from the truth that we are part of the same family – the family of God.

“Be kindly affectioned to one another with brotherly love;  in honour preferring one another.” (Romans 12:10)

Sunday,  June 11, 2017, will be Tommy Valentine’s last Sunday in the pulpit as Lexington Avenue Baptist Church’s minister.   To honor Tommy, Jennifer, David and Kate’s seventeen years with LABC,  the church is invited to an informal lunch following the church service in the fellowship hall.  We will break bread together , as well as, have some time to speak personally to Tommy and his family, thanking them for their service throughout these past years and wishing them well in their future endeavors.

Along with the lunch, we want to encourage those who would like to give a Love Offering or write a card or note, to do so;  a basket will be available for collecting these.  Those wishing to use their offering envelopes may also make a Love Offering indicating this in the Offering Designated For space provided on the front of the envelope.  Thank you.
