Folders/CDs are now available in the Choir Room on the Piano, so why not stop by and pick one up? Take it home and listen to it, and decide if you can sing with our Easter Choir on April 16.

Lent Begins March 1
We’ll spend 6 weeks getting ready to come near to the mystery of Easter. Here are some ways to get ready at home: (1) Set up a Lent prayer station (instructions provided at Ash Wednesday Worship — see Amanda for a copy!) (2) Complete your Lenten passport. Get one at the Mardi Gras Party or Ash Wednesday Worship. There are activities to complete at church and at home. (3) Put a purple runner or placemats on the table where you eat to remind you of Lent — the time for getting ready to come close to the mystery of Easter.
It takes a lot of people to make children’s ministry great, and we appreciate everyone who invests time and energy into teaching our children about God’s love. Here are some upcoming ways that you can jump in and help:
1. We’ll need lots of adults to help run the stations at our Easter Celebration on Sunday, April 9 at 2 pm (at the Stillwells’). If you can help, let Amanda know.
2. Do you have the gift of spray painting? We have several boxes that need to be painted gold for the Godly Play classroom. Paint is provided!

Youth Sunday Night Supper
I am organizing Sunday evening meals for the youth group. If you can provide a meal, please let me know. If you would like to ask your Sunday School members if they would be willing to do a meal that would be really awesome. The more people we have, the fewer times you have to do it. Trying to relieve youth parents and Keith and hopefully begin a rotation. If you can have your meal at the church by 6 on Sunday evenings. If you need pick-up that could also be arranged. Usually 10-15 people & doesn’t have to be anything fancy (pasta, tacos, chicken, burgers, etc). They have paper products and usually drinks already. If you can indicate what you will provide that will help to prevent back-to-back duplicates.
Thanks in advance for your help, Callie Minks

Common Ground - LABC Sunday School Class
What makes it easy for people to get to know one another? Usually it begins with something they have in common. That is exactly what this “new” Sunday school class is calling themselves, “Common Ground” with the scripture from I Corinthians 9:22“Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ.”
We have a small core group already formed from our Singles class which began last year. Since we are not exactly bursting at the seams, we decided we would like to expand and include anyone looking for a Sunday school home. Single or married, young or older, let us become a part of your journey as you look for ways to navigate through life’s twists and turns, keeping Christ as your focus. That’s what we have in common…..studying the scripture, praying, encouraging one another, and sharing Jesus’ love.
Visit with us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in Room 305. Join Anita, Philip, Lu, Scotty and Judee; they would love to welcome everyone. You may meet some old friends or make new friends…..”Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the love, being one in the spirit and purpose.” - Philippians 2:2
