Brittany Stillwell Krebs Ordination - April 21, 4:00 p.m. (Buechel Park Baptist, Louisville)

Dearest Lexington Avenue Baptist Church,

It has been many years since I have been a member at your church but your impact on my life and my ministry has yet to fade.  When I share my faith story I claim you as my home church.  You have been a source of encouragement and support for many years and I am very grateful.

It was in this family that I felt that first tug toward full-time Christian vocation.  I can remember walking the aisle one summer during college while I was back with you serving as an intern.  I knew that if I told my church family of my call, you would hold me accountable, pray for me, and be a source of encouragement and strength for the journey.  You have been just that even six years later.  Thank you for caring for me, nurturing me, and not giving up on me.

You have been a part of the big milestones in my life: going off to college, discerning a call to ministry, marrying Kyle, starting seminary…  I even preached my first sermon from your familiar pulpit.  So of course I would love it if you could be a part of my ordination.  I will be ordained at my current church and place of ministry, Buechel Park Baptist Church on April 21st at  4:00 p.m.

I know that this is a bit of a drive and I want you to know that even if I do not physically feel your hands during this service, I will feel the weight of your hands because you have left both fingerprints and deep imprints in my soul.  Thank you.

With all my love,

Brittany Krebs
