January 2013, a brand new year. Time to reflect on the year behind us and the year stretched in front of us. Last Saturday we began our second year of Soups on Us. Again, we cooked, packed and delivered lunch for our community. All of us love this mission.
The first Saturday of each month the members of LABC arrive with a smile ready to work. If I haven’t said it before, let me say it now …. Thank You…..I can’t say it enough. As our meals are delivered throughout the county I think of the families who receive our small white boxes. Included in the box lunch, is a very special blessing from our church to each home.
As you read this, please thoughtfully consider giving your time on a Saturday this year to help with this mission. If you already volunteer, you feel the reward. If you haven’t been with us in a while, please come back. If you haven’t joined us yet, please think about it.
This year we will provide lunch 10 more times. January is behind us; we will not provide lunch in April. Please prayerfully consider this mission. The morning goes very quickly, the work is not hard, the fellowship is wonderful, and the cause is worthwhile.
Your generous support helps to make this mission possible.
We need help making boxes, sandwich makers, cooks, dishwashers and delivery people.
We need you….come once, and I believe you will come again.
In Christ, love and thanks
