Dear LABC Family,
On behalf of the Sisk family, I would like to thank each of you for the cards, visits at the hospital and McDowell Place, phone calls, and prayers we received during Dr. Charles Sisk’s illness and passing in May. During the visitation I was truly touched by the memories and stories some of you shared with me and the rest of the family. A few of those stories were new ones that I had never heard and I will treasure each of them, and enjoyed hearing them.
There are three things I learned over the years I was lucky enough to have him as my uncle. Uncle Charles loved his family, his church, his patients and fishing. Each of you fall into one of these groups and he loved each of you. Not only was he my uncle but also a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather and distinguished physician even after he retired.
I also would like to express our family’s thanks for the Gideon Bibles that have been placed in Uncle Charles’ honor. That is one of the best ways to honor his memory and he would truly be honored by this.
Again thank you all again for the love and support you have shown the Sisk family and we are truly blessed to be members of such a special and supportive church family.
Thank you very much for again providing a wonderful graduation celebration for the Nada community. Those who attended the Legends ballgame really enjoyed it. And the community baskeball game was the highlight of the weekend. We have never had a game like this before ! We are now ministering a new generation of preschoolers and children. The activities for them were so special. Thank you!

Dear LABC Family,
Thank you to everyone for the prayers, cards, calls, food and compassion that you've shown to us during the recent illness and passing of our son and brother. It has all been a great source of comfort for us during the funeral and the days afterwards. Thank you for allowing Jim's funeral to be held at LABC. We are truly blessed to be a part of such a loving congregation. God Bless You!

Mothers’ Day 2012 is a day I will always cherish. It was 2 days before my 90th birthday. How could that be? Just by living one day at a time, and before I knew it, that is my age. I was overwhelmed by your standing ovations, flowers, cakes, cards, and hugs. Thank you, thank you, and many, many more thank yous.
I think you love me and appreciate me almost as much as I love and appreciate each of you. Forty-eight years of being together have made us truly family. Families love each other, pray together, and stick together.
God bless you and keep you always,
Thanks to the Mission Friends, RAs, and all of you for your cards, prayers, and encouragement for my minor knee surgery. You are kind. One RA made me a card with this verse, “Jesus said, ‘Take up your mat and walk.’ ”
