WOW! Cannot believe it is that time again. Fall is here. Any help with the preparation of our annual Fall Festival would be greatly appreciated. Please start bringing in candy to the church office. The children’s ministry team decided our theme for this year would be Alice in Wonderland from a Biblical Perspective. PLANET 56 will be reading the Christian version of Lewis Carrol’s masterpiece. If you would like to help with painting props, decorating or coming up with ideas please let me know. I am excited to make this a fun and meaningful experience for the children and our neighbors. Sign Up sheets will be brought to your Sunday School classes.

Possible Children’s Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Let Tara know if you would be interested in going as a group.

Thank You Extended Session Workers

Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me’” (Matthew 19:14).

I want to say thank you to our nursery and extended session workers who diligently serve our children and families. LABC family, many of you may be unaware that we have a shortage of volunteers on Sunday Mornings in our children’s department. Please consider giving the gift of your time and join our rotation schedule for the nursery or extended session. Once every six weeks would be a huge help to this very important ministry. Please call Gail in the church office or let me know if you can help us out.
    Thank You, Tara

Thank You for Keeping the Nursery
Mama left me in the church nursery.
She said, “You can stay here and play.”
I was very afraid, but you comforted me,
And Mama found Christ that day.
At least once a month in the nursery,
You served God by caring for me
So Mama could attend church and learn to make
Our home everything it should be.
There were those who said, “I’m too busy,”
Or, “I don’t want to miss church today;
I’m too young; I’m too old; I’ve done my part –
The nursery? Please, don’t ask me to stay.”
But you said, “No, I’m not too busy.
I’m just the right age I know.
I could never do enough for the King that I serve.
When you need me in the nursery I’ll go.”
My life might have been so different
If you had not answered God’s plea
For workers to serve where the need is so great,
To care for little people like me.
Thank you for keeping the nursery.
Mama taught me to follow Christ, too.
Many people had a part, but the most special one to me
will always be you.
