Bible Study, Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
On Sept. 11 we begin a new series which takes us through the major stories of the Old and New Testaments in a year from Genesis to Revelation. Don’t miss a Sunday.
Sunday Nights, 6-8 p.m.: Lead, Serve, Love
Youth meals, games, and devotional (Lead, Serve, Love). Most Sunday nights are at the church, however, we are hoping to meet at a church members home once a month. We also need volunteers to bring dinner on Sunday nights at 6:00. If anyone is interested in being a host home or fixing a meal please let the youth ministers know.
Wednesday Night Prayer and Recreation, 6:15 p.m.
After family meal there will be a focused time of prayer for about 10 minutes, then free time to hang out, play games and relax with friends.
Youth Prayer Breakfast, Thursdays at 7:15 a.m.
at the McDonald’s on Perryville Road.
We are working on planning some fun events this fall. Stay tuned for more information. Some things you could expect:
-Parent's Night Out
We have begun a texting challenge! Throughout the week, Justin, Kyle or Kelsey will be texting the youth with different questions. It could require them to look up a Bible verse or answer a question about topics we have covered in our devotions. Everyone who replies to the text correctly within 12 hours receives points. The youth who texts back first gets the most. We will be keeping track of everyone's score and each morning in Sunday School we will announce the winner for the week. (You must be present to win) There will also be a grand winner at the end of each month. Here are some hints to help:
-Come to as many events as possible so you will know the answers
-If you miss a youth event and don't know the answer, feel free to ask other youth that were there to help you out.
-Come to Sunday School to find out who has won. (Every Sunday morning at 9:30 in the green/blue youth room)
-Don't text in class, if you get your phone taken away then you definitely won’t win (we will try not to text you during school)
-Download the Bible app, if you have an iPhone
-Always text back, you may not be first but you still get points for answering correctly no matter how long it takes you.
-If you don't already receive texts from the youth ministers, then that means we don't have your number! Text us your number ASAP so you can join the fun.
- Good Luck!
