Guest Preacher: Brittany Stillwell Krebs, Sunday, February 6
10:45 a.m. February is Martha Stearns Marshall Women in Preaching Month promoted by Baptist Women in Ministry. Brittany is a former member of LABC and the daughter of Keith and Dianne Stillwell. She is currently a student at Baptist Seminary of Kentucky and is the minister of music at Buechel Park Baptist Church in Louisville.

The Vanderpools in Southeast Asia, Wednesday,  Feb. 16, 6:45 p.m.

Scotty and Judee Vanderpool will report on their recent visit to Southeast Asia and the work of Jonathan and Hannah Vanderpool.

Children’s News
Children’s Day in Worship, Sunday, February 27
Contact Tara Farmer if your child would like to participate.
Service will include: Blessing and Prayer for the Children (Parents of nursery children are invited to bring their children to the first part of the worship service to join in for the blessing and prayer.); Children will lead in prayer, scripture reading, welcoming, offering, and music; Preschool Rainbow Bells, Music Teams, and Drama Team; Multi-media children’s pictures from the past year; Introduction to Passport Kids Camp 2011.
Children Preparing to Lead Worship
During February, our Wednesday night children’s activities will switch to music and arts so the children can prepare to lead in worship on Children’s Day on February 27. The classes will be the same as we had in the fall
Preschool: no change (they have Missions, Music and More all year)
Grades 1-3: Music Team with Gina Scott
Grades 4-6: Either Drama Team with Roz Campbell and Shawna Stomberger or Music Team with Blythe Sheene and Philip Quinn. The children will learn skits and songs to share in worship on February 27.
Go Go Gorillas!, Sunday, February 13
Sunday after worship we will go bananas and take a trip to Go Go Gorilla in Danville Ky. Please start saving, and locate a coat you have outgrown to donate to the Salvation Army for someone in need. Bring your coats on Wednesday, February 9. Please call the church office (236-3565) or Tara to sign up.

Shine the Light of God’s Love. Learn about Moses, Jesus, and Paul with an assembly time, music, crafts, and Bible stories. Meet “Beakin” the Pelican.

Christian Music’s largest annual tour. Meet at the church at 4:00. Cost: $10 + money for food or merchandise. Please let one of the interns know if you plan to attend or will be bringing anyone.

We will be wrapping up what we have been covering in our Sunday School units.  The boys have been studying 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and the girls have been using material from HisGirl. We will eat dinner together then guys and girls will do their own thing until later that night. Girls: Manicures, Chick flick, “Girl talk”, tie-dying. Guys: Xbox NCAA tournament, bowling, 7 habits wrap-up
What to bring: Your favorite snack food and a 2-liter, Comfy clothes, Sleeping bag/pillow, Bibles and Sunday school books, Girls bring something to tie-dye
