Children’s Day in Worship
Children, I want to thank you all for a wonderful service that you led on Sunday. I am so proud of all of you. LABC is very blessed to have such talented young people who are able to share their love of Christ and bring happiness to others through their gifts. The joy of the morning was contagious as you gave with your whole hearts. Also, a special thank you to the leaders who helped make children’s day in worship extra special. Phil, Gina, Roz, Shawna, Nicole, Blythe, and many other wonderful volunteers, it truly takes a village.
Love, Tara

Upward Soccer
Upward Sports seeks to provide children with "skills for the sports arena and values for life." While training children with the athletic skills needed to participate at the next level, Upward Sports stresses biblical values—such as leadership, teamwork, integrity and respect—as much as winning. Upward is provided for K-6th grade children. LABC’S children’s ministry is considering having an Upward Soccer team. However, to be able to provide this for our children we will need many volunteers, beginning with a coach. If you are interested please contact Tara or Keith and we can get the ball rolling!!!

Recipe: Turkey Tetrazzini
(from Heart for Missions meal)
2 sticks butter
16 Tbsp. flour
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups non-dairy creamer
2/3 cups of a 2 lb box cheese
1/3 cup mushrooms
½ cup onion
½ cup celery
½ cup green pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb spaghetti, cooked
Parmesan cheese
3 cups cooked, chopped turkey
Melt butter and sauté vegetables.  Add the mushrooms just before the flour.  Stir in flour for a minute or so to make roux.  Add the broth slowly stirring constantly to keep it smooth.  Stir in non-dairy creamer.  Add the cheese in cubes and stir until all is melted.  Add cubed turkey last.  Pour the sauce over cooked spaghetti.  Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and paprika.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.  This recipe makes a lot and can be divided into several baking dishes.  Freezes well!
