 About Joyce Oliver
Joyce received her Doctorate in Education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has taught numerous courses at Southern Seminary, Asbury College, and the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. She was the design editor and writer for "Heart for Missions" Vacation Bible School curriculum (Some of you will remember that we have used this curriculum several times including at Nada. Leaders and the children always had a great time with it.) As Minister with Young Families at Saint Matthew's Baptist Church, Joyce's responsibilities include 3 areas: (1) Staff Minister – the way I say it is “I am a minister first and a specialist second.”; (2) Supervisor of Directors of Parents Day Out and Weekday Preschool; and (3) Minister with Young Families giving leadership to all church activities as they relate to young children including Sunday School, Worship Care, Wednesday evening programs, summer programs, Vacation Bible School, special events, etc.

David Cassady is the president and founder of FaithLab, a creative services and publishing firm focused on the needs of churches and religious organizations. Before FaithLab, he was Publisher and Executive Vice President for Smyth & Helwys Publishing (which most of our adult Sunday School classes use), where he worked for over 16 years. David has also served on the ministry staff of churches in Kentucky and Arkansas. He holds a Ph.D. in Christian Education and an M.Div. C.E. from Southern Seminary.

Raised in Arkansas, David was raised with an appreciation for the outdoors, family and faith. He married Rejeana, his college sweetheart (celebrating 30 years of marriage this May), and has enjoyed watching two children grow. Megan is a junior in high school, and Jonathan a junior in college.

David is particularly interested in the opportunities that technology and new media forms provide for strengthening ministry in churches. He enjoys photography and collects vintage computers.
