Tuesday, Third Week of Advent: Joy
December 16, 2014
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord . . . serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:1
The joy of Christmas is when family and friends and grandkids come over and we will decorate the tree and hang ornaments and sing Christmas songs and sit by the fireplace and eat cookies. We just talk about things and just have fun watching the kids open their presents and play with them and have fun with their toys.
But the real joy for me is when I make a Christmas shoe box for the kids who have nothing. I love working with the staff at LABC and members of the church but the joy also is the preschool kids. I have a lot of fun down there with them.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the joy of Christmas. Amen
