Fourth Week of Advent: Love

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son . . . John 3:16a
This Christmas time in the busy bustling of our preparations let us remember first the birth of Jesus. Let us take time to share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the wisdom of the wise men. Put love in our hearts and teach us to be merry. May these things be more important to us than the gifts we buy or hope to receive.
On Christmas morning wake us remembering we are God’s children. On Christmas night give us thankful hearts, forgiven and forgiving.
And – before we sleep we will give thanks for the most important gift of all – the gift of Jesus.
